Conservative Management of Pediatric Equinus Deformity – Part 2: Labs with Serial Casting
Please note that your housing choice is a request, not a guarantee. We will do our best to assign you to the condo of your choice on a rolling basis.
Registration price will increase to $1,450 USD after October 6, 2024.
We offer a $150 discount for team members. If you're bringing a team member, please let us know by way of the form below.
We require a minimum of four attendees to hold a session.
This practice-changing lab session is held in the off-season in Telluride, Colorado, from October 25-27, 2024.
Lab sessions feature supervised assessment procedures of the foot and ankle in the open and closed kinematic chains. Findings are applied to the design and execution of insole modifications undertaken to optimize standing and walking foot alignment. Orthotic optimization principles and methods are again implemented in the fabrication and biomechanical optimization of two types of below-knee cast: a FlexCast© and a reinforced cast made with plaster and SoftCast, both of which are made to be removed without a motorized cutter.
Lab Enrollment: Limited to six didactic course alumni who have successfully completed the online course, Development and Conservative Management of Pediatric Equinus Deformity - Part 1, and who are prepared to use the new assessment, orthotic modification, and casting skills in practice. With that consideration, labs will be filled on a first-come, first-served basis.
Level Intermediate: Pre-course review materials are assigned to enhance learning. Didactic and lab sessions will proceed upon the assumption that pre-course review materials are completed.
