Conservative Management of Pediatric Equinus Deformity – Part 2: Labs with Serial Casting

Our former six-day Pediatric Equinus Deformity Conservative Management course has transitioned from an entirely in-person format to a hybrid model, combining the convenience of online learning with the hands-on benefits of in-person training. The online course Pediatric Equinus Deformity Conservative Management - Part 1 is the pre-requisite required for attending the in-person Serial Casting lab.

Our lab session evaluations indicated that students need more time devoted to cast fabrication, so we have modified the program accordingly. Thus, students will fabricate and optimize each cast type twice—the FlexCast© and the plaster and softcast combination case—and will experience wearing bilateral casts. This change in program content requires a significant increase in casting supplies, for which the tuition has been increased. We are sure that this new course will raise your confidence in your new casting skills.
